A Paisley baby was the first in Scotland to enter the world on Christmas Day.
First-time mum Kerry Docherty had been in the Royal Alexandra Hospital maternity unit for two days.
But she hung on until Christmas Day itself - and 14 minutes after midnight wee Leavi was born.
The second born in the country is thought to have been a boy at the Ayrshire Maternity in Kilmarnock at 12.27am.
Leavi was one of just two babies born on December 25 at the unit.
And Kerry, who lives in Paisley with partner Ryan Duffy,24, said: “It’s an amazing Christmas present and better than anything else in the world.
“It’s crazy to think that she was the first baby born in Scotland and it’s definitely not a normal Christmas with everyone so interested in Leavi.
“We’re going to keep all the cuttings from newspapers so that when she is older we can show her just how special this Christmas Day was.”
The couple had arrived at the maternity unit on December 23 and the due date was actually December 27 . . . so they knew a Christmas Day baby was a genuine possibility.
Leavi tipped the scales at a healthy 7lbs 13 oz - exactly the same as the other baby born on Christmas Day at the RAH.
Michael Steel waited until 7.55pm before mum Cerian Fox delivered him as Renfrewshire's second baby of the special day.
Cerian,26, and new dad Graham Steel,32, also both live in Paisley, and are pictured above with their new son.
And just like Leavi, Michael is a Christmas cracker.
Cerian said: “I’m so happy, I’m fine and the baby is fine and we’re all just absolutely delighted.
“He is the most perfect Christmas present I could have asked for.”
