A 92-year-old woman had £200 stolen while she was shopping in Asda and police say these men 'are believed to be directly involved'

Police have released images of two men they want to speak to after a 92-year-old woman had her shopping money stolen in Asda.

In a Facebook post, Greater Manchester Police in Cheadle said the victim was targeted at the branch of the supermarket in Stockport town centre.

The woman only realised her purse and £200 in cash had been stolen when she went to pay for her shopping, police said.

Security and GMP were alerted leading to a CCTV image to be released.

"The pair are believed to be directly involved" in the theft, police said.

The crime happened on Friday, September 13 between 1.30pm-2pm.
