A 9-year-old Stephen Curry fan helped design his latest shoe

Back in November, a 9-year-old Steph Curry fan tried to order his signature shoes online, only to find that Under Armour only listed the shoes in boys’ sizes. That fan, Riley Morrison, decided to write a letter to Curry asking for the company to sell a version of the shoes tailored for women.

Curry responded to Morrison with a letter of his own, and wrote that he was working with Under Armour on a solution.

Curry recently released his newest signature shoe, the Curry 6, and Morrison made her mark on the special edition “United We Win” colorway. Morrison designed the sock liner for the shoe, which features a drawing of a basketball player and several motivational messages.

The shoe will also raise money for a great cause.

Via UnderArmour:

“Proceeds from the shoe will fund a scholarship from the Curry Family Foundation + Under Armour that will go to a young woman from the Oakland area pursuing an education in a STEM-related field.”
