A 64-year-old man was 'pushed to the floor' by thieves who took off with his van

A 64-year-old man was "pushed to the floor" by thieves who then drove off with his van in Newport.

The incident took place on Friday, October 2 at around 12:25pm in the Duffryn area of the city, according to Gwent Police.

Officers said the man reported that he was stopped by two people in a white van on Morgan Way.

The individuals told the man his van had a flat tyre, and he left the vehicle to check the tyre.

He was then pushed to the floor and his transit van was taken.
