EMERGENCY service crews rushed to a historic hotel near Busby after it burst into flames for a second time.
We previously reported that firefighters raced to the Carnbooth House Hotel on Busby Road, Glasgow, on Thursday, August 17, following reports of a derelict building on fire.
Originally, 10 appliances were sent to the scene and crews left the following night.
However, it is now understood firefighters rushed back to the abandoned hotel on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20, after reports of a reignited fire.
Crews tackled a section of the building which was set alight and left the incident on Sunday morning after making sure the area was safe.
The large country house, which has been lying empty since 2019, was built by architect Alexander Cullen around 1900.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 8.03pm on Thursday, August 17 to reports of a derelict building on fire Busby Road, Carmunnock, Glasgow.
"Operations control mobilised a total of ten appliances at the height of the fire to the scene, where firefighters worked to extinguish the fire.
"Crews left at 9.14pm on Friday, August 18.
"A number of resources returned to the scene on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20 after reports of a reignited fire.
"Crews tackled a section of the building which was alight and left at 8.30am on Sunday morning after ensuring the area was safe."
