Shoppers are set to see the return of a familiar fashion name to the high street, six years after it disappeared from stores.
Evans, the well-known plus-size womenswear brand, will relaunch in Greater Glasgow through new concessions inside Yours Clothing shops at Braehead Shopping Centre and The Plaza in East Kilbride.
The brand closed all of its standalone stores in December 2020 following the collapse of parent company Arcadia Group, moving to an online-only model. It was later acquired by AK Retail in 2023.
Now, Evans is making a physical comeback, with concessions planned in 35 Yours Clothing locations across the UK, including sites in East Kilbride and Renfrew, according to the Sun.
A spokesperson for Yours Clothing said the decision reflects strong demand from shoppers.
They said: "Plus-size women are among the most loyal fashion shoppers in the UK.
"When a brand gets it right, when the fit works, the range is genuine, and the product reflects real women, they come back.
"Evans earned that loyalty over decades.
"And when the brand reduced its high street presence, its customers did not stop looking."
Founded in 1930, Evans built a reputation as a leading name in plus-size fashion, specialising in clothing for women over size 14.
AK Retail, which also owns Yours Clothing and M&Co, has now opted to bring the brand back to bricks-and-mortar retail in a concession format.
The new Evans ranges will sit alongside Yours Clothing’s existing plus-size collections, offering shoppers more choice in-store.
