Milan Fashion Week’s autumn/winter 2021 edition has just wrapped in the Italian capital, and what a week it was, with designers delivering a glut of ultra-glam garments and a brief but welcome distraction from lockdown life.

Having surveyed the collections, here are the clothes we’re dreaming about wearing come autumn…

1. Dolce & Gabbana

Called #DGNextChapter, the Dolce & Gabbana collection reimagined a variety of Nineties trends for now, which included some incredible crystal embellished bodysuits and bodices.

2. MM6 Maison Margiela

Promising “a reborn wardrobe inspired by these topsy turvy times”, MM6 Maison Margiela gave us some interesting ideas for how to revamp our loungewear looks, like this sleeveless sweatshirt and maxi skirt combo.

3. Daniel Del Core

You can’t go wrong with a red dress, and this strappy number from Daniel Del Core is a real winner.

4. Valentino

Valentino AW21 was all about androgynous tailoring and wide Seventies style collars. The black cape blazers were a highlight.

5. Emilio Pucci

We’re not sure how many fashionistas will be queuing up to don one of the clingy hooded jumpsuits from the Emilio Pucci autumn/winter collection, but the brightly coloured oversized bomber jackets? Now those we can get on board with.

6. Salvatore Ferragamo

The ‘clothing as armour’ trend continues at Salvatore Ferragamo and who wouldn’t feel invincible in this incredible long-sleeved leather minidress?

7. Marni

Knitwear fans, rejoice – according to Marni, next season we’ll all be donning floor length crochet jumper dresses in candy colours.

8. Giorgio Armani

Some of the most beautiful evening wear was seen at Giorgio Armani where long black dresses were embellished with shimmering floral detailing.

9. Moschino

Creative director Jeremy Scott was inspired by old Hollywood glamour for Moschino AW21, but of course he subverted the look and made it his own. Curve model Precious Lee looked a million dollars in this fabulous pearl-embellished pink and grey ensemble.
