Whew.
To say it’s been a devastating Wednesday morning of NBA news even feels like an understatement.
There was Chris Paul entering the NBA’s COVID-19 protocol ahead of the upcoming Western Conference finals. There was the news of Kawhi Leonard’s knee injury that sounds like will keep him out for the series against the Utah Jazz … and maybe longer.
And then we learned that the New Orleans Pelicans fired Stan Van Gundy and that Scott Brooks was no longer at the helm of the Washington Wizards. So let’s focus on that for a moment. That makes six coaching vacancies in the NBA with the Pels and Wiz joining the Portland Trail Blazers, Boston Celtics, Indiana Pacers and Orlando Magic.
