JAIPUR: Nine people tested positive for the Omicron variant of Covid-19 in Rajasthan's Jaipur on Sunday. The new cases include four members of a family and five others, said a state government official.
Health secretary Vaibhav Galriya said that the genome sequencing of their swab samples confirmed the infections.
He said the family members had recently returned from South Africa.
Their samples were sent for genome sequencing to Jaipur's state-run Sawai Man Singh Hospital.
