9 Man Utd players who could be playing their final game for the club on Sunday

If there is one thing to make Manchester United fans excited for Sunday's final game of the Premier League season at home to Cardiff , it's that it could really be the start of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer era.

The Norwegian will use the summer to really put his mark on the team, and that could include the loss of several first-team players.

One of those will be club captain Antonio Valencia, who Solskjaer says could get a send-off at the weekend.

"I spoke to Antonio yesterday," he said on Friday. "He's not been fit, five or six months I've been here. Unfortunately, he's really struggled.

"But he feels that he could play a part, yes, and I would hope he gets through today and tomorrow and we can give him a nice send off.

"Because he's been a fantastic servant to the club, he's been player of the year, he's been captain at the club and I think that's only fair."

And Valencia isn't the only United player for whom this could be a swansong, with these others also potentially saying their goodbyes.

(NB. Not all of these players will go, obviously. Plus we haven't included Eric Bailly because he's injured)

Those contract negotiations have dragged on, and as a result they seem to have affected the goalkeeper's form.

He'll want more money for being out of the Champions League too, and United might be better off not doing that sort of thing any more.

The end? Again?

The Frenchman seems to be distracted at the moment, and those rumours of a possible move to Real Madrid - one you sense he really wants - simply won't go away.

Is this his last game? A lot has to happen for that to be the case, but it feels as though things are moving in the direction for it to become a reality.

Alexis Sanchez

He'd have to get on the pitch first, of course (PA)

He made a rare start against Huddersfield last week, only lasting 54 minutes, and it would be a surprise if a man who has come to represent United's rather flagrant approach to the transfer market began this one.

It's best he moves on, but who'll take him?

Is this his last game? Form an orderly queue.

Juan Mata

The recently-turned-31-year-old's deal will expire in the summer, and you get the feeling that his age is one of the things counting against him getting a new one.

His influence has waned a little over the years, but he could still be a good player to keep around.

Is this his last game? Probably, although a one-year deal wouldn't be the worst idea.

Romelu Lukaku

The alarm bells have been ringing ever since Solskjaer made it clear that Marcus Rashford was his preferred central striker, and a parting of the ways is looking possible in the summer.

The Belgian - or more notably his Italian agent - seems to be aligning himself with a move to Serie A.

Is this his last game? It would need to be a big deal, and Solskjaer would surely be better served having a sit down with him and trying to keep him.

Marcos Rojo

Time, patience, opportunites. Everything seems to be running out for the Argentinean defender at Old Trafford, and this will surely be the last time we see him in a United shirt.

He did often show promise, but English football doesn't seem suited for him any more.

Is this his last game? He'll probably be on the first flight out of Manchester Airport.

Ander Herrera

The final wave goodbye? (AFP/Getty Images)

Gary Neville hit the nail on the head when he claimed that the loss of Herrera is one of the sorry sights that sum up United right now .

The Spaniard will join Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, and it all just seems like a bit of a waste really.

Is this his last game? Yes. He'll be strolling down the Champs Elysees very soon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer shares two reasons for Man Utd's alarming dip in form

Antonio Valencia

It hasn't been a happy season for Valencia (Action Images via Reuters)

As above, Solskjaer has spoken about how Valencia deserves a good send-off following 10 years of service.

This hasn't been a happy season for United, but especially for him.

Is this his last game? It will be, but where will he end up?

Matteo Darmian

Yes, he is still there.

It has been easy to forget about the Italian for some time now, but his four-year stay at Old Trafford will surely be coming to an end in the summer following another undewhelming season.

Is this his last game? You'd have thought so.
