Nine Emmerdale real life couples who are living together off-screen

As much as we love a good juicy soap storyline we also know there’s lots of gossip to be had off the set too.

So, we’ve taken a look at the real-life couples from Emmerdale who are living together during the coronavirus pandemic.

Hopefully, it might prove helpful to those after a little bit of a gossip fix as the popular ITV soap continues to broadcast less episodes because Covid-19 affected production.

Some of these stars found love on-set and a few of these couples might even surprise you. A couple of them even played love interests of each other in storylines featured on Emmerdale down the years.

We had a bit of help putting this list together from a feature Hello has published.

Natalie J Robb and Johnny McPherson

The couple who inspired this feature. According to reports, Natalie J Robb and Johnny McPherson have been dating since the beginning of the year and it looks like things have gotten rather serious.

As they are currently living together and news of their romance first broke when they appeared together on a Zoom call to celebrate their co-star Liam Fox's 50th birthday in June. They’ve yet to confirm their relationship but all signs suggest they are an item.

Dominic Brunt and Joanne Mitchell

Dominic, who of course plays the popular Paddy Kirk, has been married to Joanne Mitchell since 2003. Down the years, fans of Emmerdale have seen Joanne crop up in guest parts and will remember her as Sandra Flaherty, the stepmother of Aaron Livesy.

Fiona Wade and Simon Cotton

At the end of 2018, the couple got engaged. Although they no longer work together on Emmerdale it was meeting through work where they first became an item.

Fans will know Fiona as Priya Sharma in the soap while Simon played Home Farm Estate client Hugh Bryant. He’s also appeared in crime dramas about the Kray twins.

Chris Chittell and Lesley Dunlop

The stars, who play Eric Pollard and Brenda Walker, are married in real-life. They first became a couple back in 2008 and then got hitched in June 2016.

Their characters did have a brief fling on the show in 2012 but Chris and Lesley asked writers to avoid making them a long-term pairing on Emmerdale.

Mark Jordon and Laura Norton

This couple have been dating since 2015 having met while working together on Emmerdale. They announced their engagement in January 2019.

Mark played Daz Spencer in the soap and Laura is known to fans as Kerry Wyatt.

Jeff Hordley and Zoe Henry

Jeff, who plays fan favourite Cain Dingle, married Zoe back in 2003. Jeff joined the show in 2000 and Zoe plays Rhona Goskirk in the village soap.

Jeff and Zoe have two children together called Violet and Stan.

Michelle Hardwick and Kate Brooks

Love at Emmerdale isn’t just restricted to the cast. Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa Woodfield, proposed to the show’s producer Kate Brooks with a romantic flash mob, and the couple married in Memphis, Tennessee.

Charley Webb and Matthew Wolfenden

Possibly these two are the most well-known of all Emmerdale’s real-life couples. Co-stars Charley and Matthew married in 2018 after a nine-year relationship. Charley plays Debbie Dingle and Matthew is known as David Metcalfe.

The co-stars have three children together called Buster, Bowie and Ace.

Chelsea Halfpenny and James Baxter

Last year, it was reported former Emmerdale stars Chelsea Halfpenny and James Baxter have been dating. Chelsea, who played Amy Wyatt until 2013, has shared several photos with James, who played Jake Doland, on social media.

It is thought their romance blossomed during their time together working on Emmerdale.

We'll keep bringing you all the latest Emmerdale news from on and off set.

And, of course, we'll keep you posted if any other cast members find love on the show.
