9 Eagles among the top 200 fantasy players heading into the 2020 season

The 2019 season saw several young Eagles players emerge on the offensive side of the ball and they project positively towards providing more playmakers for the 2020 season.

In a list of the Top 200 NFL Fantasy Players for 2020 compiled by Michael Fabiano of the NFL Network, the Philadelphia Eagles had nine offensive players named, with Miles Sanders headlining that group at No. 26.

Here’s a breakdown of the nine players cited by Fabiano.

22. Miles Sanders

At the end of November, Sanders led ALL NFL rookies with 709 all-purpose yards and became the first NFL running back since Adrian Peterson, to amass 500+ scrimmage yards and 250+ return yards in his first 8 career games.

When November ended, Sanders was the only NFL rookie this season, to amass 200+ rush yards and 200+ rec. yards as well.

Sanders finished his rookie season with 179 rushes for 818 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. Sanders was equally dangerous as a wide receiver, posting 50 catches for 509 yards and 3 touchdowns.

He’ll look to improve on those numbers in his second season.

53. Zach Ertz

Ertz made another Pro Bowl, after amassing 916 yards on 88 catches with 6 touchdowns and we’ll look to score a contract extension in the offseason, cementing his status in Philadelphia.

92. Carson Wentz

A top-10 quarterback in the NFL, Wentz finished his best season as a pro, becoming the Eagles first 4,000+ yard passer in a season, while tossing 27 touchdowns to just 7 interceptions.

103. Alshon Jeffery

Besieged by injury for the bulk of the season, Jeffery started 10 games, catching 43 passes for 490 yards and 4 touchdowns.

108. Dallas Goedert

The Eagles co-star at tight end, Goedert was just named one of PFF’s top 101 from the 2019 season after having his best season as a pro. Goedert graded out as one of the top tight ends in football because of his blocking prowess.

As a pass-catcher, Goedert amassed 58 catches for 607 yards and 5 touchdowns.

112. Boston Scott

The former practice squad running back, Scott made a name for himself down the stretch of the Eagles playoff run and forged a role for himself moving forward in 2020. Pick up after being waived by the Saints in the offseason, Scott wasn’t even on the Eagles 53-man roster at the beginning of the season. He finished the 2019 season as an integral member, amassing 350 total offensive yards and five touchdowns in the final four regular-season games.

119. Jordan Howard

A free agent to be, the Eagles running back played in 10 games (4 starts) after suffering a stinger late in the season. Howard finished the season with 525 yards and 6 touchdowns on 119 attempts.

126. DeSean Jackson

Jackson started the season off at a blistering pace, bombing the Redskins for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Eagles season-opening win. Jackson suffered a core muscle injury in the second game against the Falcons and was ineffective for the rest of the season before eventually having surgery.

195. Greg Ward

Ward had spent the better part of three seasons on the Eagles practice squad, but late this season, his confidence and perseverance finally paid off. Ward finished the season with 28 catches and 254 yards during the last six games, and help speed up Nelson Agholor’s train out of town. There will be looming changes to the Eagles roster next season, but Ward has carved out a role, at a cheap and valuable price.
