A city centre office block is to be demolished after being sold for £9.3million.
The site at 225 Bath Street will be bulldozed to make way for student flats after being bought over by a developer.
Previous owner AEW UK REIT plc confirmed the sale in a statement issued this morning following the approval of planning consent. The block will be torn down by new owner IQ and a 527-unit block of student accommodation built in it's place.

The move comes months after Glasgow City Council backed the move, despite concerns there are already too many similar developments in the area.
The planning application approved in February this year had been condemned by Blythswood and Broomielaw Community Council, who claimed it was a missed opportunity to provide affordable homes.
However Q insists the development will make a positive contribution to the area, despite concerns from some councillors that there is an over concentration of purpose built student accommodation in the area.
Agent Robert Evans said at the time: "Students are not bad neighbours and they are not always a transient population. Many study for five, six or seven years and Glasgow has a very high retention rate. The economic benefits of that are huge."
