
Friday marked nine and a half years since the Great East Japan Earthquake and the accident at Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc.'s Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant. At the industrial park in the town of Futaba, Fukushima Prefecture, where reconstruction work had finally begun in March after the evacuation order was partially lifted, factories and town facilities are starting to emerge.
Retail stores selling construction materials and tools also opened this summer.
