8th Pay Commission schedules Jaipur meetings with employee and pensioner bodies; key dates, deadline to apply

The 8th Pay Commission has announced its two-day meeting schedule for Jaipur after scheduling similar meetings for New Delhi, Chandigarh, Chennai and Puducherry. The pay commission will hold meetings in Jaipur with central government employees, pensioners and their representative bodies at the end of this month (August).

8th Pay Commission’s Jaipur schedule for discussions

In a statement dated August 3, 2026, the 8th Pay Commission said that it would visit Jaipur on August 31, 2026 (Monday) and September 1, 2026 (Tuesday) for discussions with stakeholders.

In its statement, the 8th Pay Commission (8th CPC) said: “Concerned stakeholders/ unions/associations of central government/UTs, who have submitted their memorandum and have not interacted with the commission may

submit their request seeking appointment with the commission through the

following link:

The request for interaction may be submitted by August 18, 2026 along with a unique ‘memo ID’ generated after the submission of the Memorandum, the 8th Pay Commission said.

“Venue details and time of the meeting will be intimated through e-mail,” reads the 8th Pay Commission’s announcement.

8th Pay Commission to hold meetings in other states/UTs too

The 8th CPC also said that it would hold separate meetings in cities in other states/union territories in due course.

8th Pay Commission Puducherry meeting schedule

The 8th Pay Commission also said in a separate notice dated July 24 that it would be visiting Puducherry on September 9, 2026.

8th Pay Commission’s Chennai schedule for discussions

In a statement dated July 24, 2026, the 8th Pay Commission said that it would visit Chennai on September 7 and 8 for discussions with stakeholders.

Delhi meetings in August

In a statement issued on July 23, 2026, the 8th Pay Commission also said that it would hold its next round of interactions in New Delhi in August.

According to a notice by the 8th CPC, interactions would be held with associations, federations and unions of central government and UT employees located or registered in Delhi on August 7 and 10, 2026.

8th Pay Commission’s Chandigarh schedule for discussions

The 8th Pay Commission said that it would visit Chandigarh from September 16-18, 2026, for discussions with stakeholders.

8th Pay Commission is not accepting data through hard copies, email

The 8th Pay Commission has reiterated that only the data submitted through its portal will be accepted.

The commission has asked stakeholders not to submit data through hard copies or emails.

What will guide the 8th Pay Commission's recommendations?

8th CPC will make recommendations, keeping in view:

(i) The economic conditions in the country and the need for fiscal prudence;

(ii) The need to ensure that adequate resources are available for developmental expenditure and welfare measures;

(iii) The unfunded cost of non-contributory pension schemes;

(iv) The likely impact of the recommendations on the finances of state governments which usually adopt the recommendations with some modifications; and

(v) The prevailing emolument structure, benefits and working conditions available to employees of Central Public Sector Undertakings and private sector.
