A Glasgow pensioner was sadly found dead within his own home in Mount Vernon last week.
Police confirmed 88-year-old Hugh Meikle was found at his Briarwood Gardens address on Thursday.
The force says his death is not being treated as suspicious.
Officers have now launched an appeal to find his relatives.
A post shared on the Greater Glasgow Police Division Facebook page reads: "Police Service of Scotland is appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing relatives of a 88 year old male who recently died in the Mount Vernon area of Glasgow.
"Hugh Meikle was found dead within his home at Briarwood Gardens on 28/01/2021.
"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
"Anyone who has knowledge of Mr Meikle’s relatives is asked to contact the Administration department, London Road Police Office on 0141-532-4681. Monday to Friday 0800 – 1600hrs."
