
Eighty-one Thais returned from Europe early on Thursday morning, and were said to be free of fever and immediately taken into quarantine.
They arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport from Frankfurt on Lufthansa flight LH772 at 12.50am.
The returnees had been stranded in nine European countries by the coronavirus lockdown - Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
Eighty of them were placed in 14-day quarantine at a hotel in Samut Prakan. The other was a diplomat returning from Italy, who was taken to a different quarantine facility.
Another 197 Thais were due to return from Bangladesh later on Thursday.
On Wednesday 13 Thais arrived back from Ukraine, 171 from the Philippines and 129 from India. All went into quarantine.
