£80m Jack Grealish deal, Ryan Fraser wants Tottenham transfer - Latest Premier League rumours

The Premier League’s return date is still yet to be confirmed, but that hasn’t stopped clubs from planning for next season.

The transfer window may be a lot quieter than usual due to the current financial crisis – but that’s not the case according to some news outlets.

Here is a collection of today’s best Premier League transfer rumours.

The most expensive Premier League transfers ever

Aston Villa won’t budge on Grealish valuation

Aston Villa will not reduce their £80 million valuation of midfielder Jack Grealish, even if they are relegated.

In a report by The Mirror , Manchester United have begun background checks ahead of a summer move for the 24-year-old but face a difficult task to prise Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s number one target away from his boyhood club.

Villa believe that Grealish’s valuation is on par with Harry Maguire, who United signed for £80 million from Leicester City last summer.

And the midlands club will not be hammered down if they are relegated.

They see £80 million as fair market value and, while they will have to deal with significant financial ramifications from the loss of revenue should they drop out of the Premier League, they will not be coerced into selling Grealish on the cheap.

Juventus eye Jimenez

Amid longstanding interest from Manchester United, The Times report that Serie A champions leaders Juventus have registered their interest in Wolves centre-forward, Raul Jimenez.

The Mexican enjoyed another excellent season at the Hawthorns this year. He now has 26 goals in 67 Premier League matches, as well as 13 assists.

Wolves initially signed the Mexican on loan from Benfica two years ago. They then paid £34 million last summer to make that move permanent and are now looking to make a substantial profit on that figure.

United reportedly viewed Jimenez as the ideal target-man centre-forward to aid Marcus Rashford, who would once again slide over to the left flank.

However, if they are to land their man, they will have to fend off interest from Juventus who are hoping to replenish an ageing attacking unit.

Barca have long-time interest in Soyuncu

Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu has attracted interest from Barcelona for several years, according to his agent, Mustafa Dogru.

Soyuncu, 23, has been superb in place of Harry Maguire this season and Leicester opened contract talks regarding an extension earlier this season. His current deal expires in 2023.

However, Barcelona nearly signed Soyuncu before and they could come calling again.

"It is possible Caglar can go to play for Barcelona this summer,” Dogu revealed . “Barca already wanted to sign him when he played for Altinordu. We negotiated with them and they presented a project, but we thought that he should go to a team where he would be a permanent starter for him to develop properly.

"For this reason, we decided to accept the Freiburg proposal.

"I think only Liverpool have the power to sign Caglar in the Premier League because of his economic conditions, but we must not forget French teams. PSG could be a surprise.”

Fraser wants Tottenham move

With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser is eyeing a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The winger has run down his contract and will be available on a free transfer. As such, he is one of the more sought-after targets due to the financial pressures of the current climate.

According to The Mirror , Fraser is keen on a move to north London after nearly signing with Arsenal last summer. And Tottenham are reportedly ready to make an offer, too.

Jose Mourinho is said to have acknowledged the need to retool his squad with inventive deals due to a tight budget. As a result, Fraser, who provided 14 assists last season and four this year before lockdown, becomes a much more attractive prospect
