800 cannabis plants recovered from drug factory in Aberavon

A cannabis factory has been growing plants in former industrial units in Port Talbot.

South Wales Police attended old commercial premises in Isaac’s Place in Aberavon on Tuersday, January 12, where they recovered around 800 plants.

One eyewitness said: “There were about eight police vans, that had been there for a long time.

“You don’t see that everyday unless something really bad has happened”.

A spokesman for South Wales Police added: “We attended an old commercial premises in Isaacs Place, Aberavon yesterday at about 3.55pm.

“On entering the property officers found around 800 cannabis plants.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information should contact 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting occurrence 2100011838”.
