80 jobs up for grabs at firm that helps create banks from Tyneside

A subsidiary of Newcastle Building Society is creating 80 new jobs on Tyneside.

Newcastle Strategic Solutions has created the jobs as part of the first phase of its “tech talent” investment drive and has said it plans to make even more positions available throughout 2020.

The firm is owned by Newcastle Building Society and specialises in creating savings accounts for other banks and financial services firm. Products made using its savings platform have won numerous awards.

All of the 80 new jobs will be based on Tyneside, adding to the Solutions’ 600-strong team. They will be spread across the company’s two offices in Newcastle and Cobalt Park in North Tyneside.

The roles will predominantly be technology-focused and will support complex projects, such as launching new banks and developing new services for existing clients. Other roles will also be available in customer services, client services, business transformation and the firm’s financial crime teams.
