8-year-old boy dies after being attacked by dogs in Dublin

An eight-year-old boy has been mauled to death by dogs at a house in Dublin.

Gardai said the boy was set upon by dogs in the Tallaght area of the city around 4pm on Sunday.

He died at Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin on Monday.

Two rottweiler dogs had attacked the boy in the family home, RTE reported.

The dog warden was notified and the dogs were confiscated and put down.

Gardai at Tallaght Garda station have launched an investigation.
