Well, here we are half-way through the 2019 NFL season. The year of ups, downs and injuries has led many fantasy footballers to think that it is becoming increasingly harder to play. The unpredictability and difficulty of setting your lineup with the right players can be challenging, but that’s why we play isn’t it?
There are two teams on a bye this week, including the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys.
Here are eight players for Week 8 that can help turn your team around so all hope is not lost:

RB Chase Edmonds: 31.7% rostered (ESPN)
I included Edmonds in this list last week and in case you did not believe me, Edmonds certainly proved you wrong for not picking him up sooner. He capped off the day with a three-touchdown performance on 27 carries for 126 yards.
With David Johnson hurt, Edmonds will continue to be their feature back in Arizona as Kliff Kingsbury’s offense has seemed to finally find some life. With a matchup against the Saints on the horizon, expect Arizona to play it safe for Kyler Murray and run the ball in a tough road test for any quarterback.

WR Olabisi (Bisi) Johnson: 0.1% rostered (ESPN)
I know what you’re thinking…”Who?”
Well, Johnson has been filling in as a WR3 option for Minnesota all season and with the struggles of Kirk Cousins in the early weeks, all the receivers saw limited production.
Now, however, the Vikings pass game has been electric with 10 passing touchdowns over the last three games. Adam Thielen injured his hamstring on an incredible circus catch in the back of the endzone on Sunday which allowed Johnson to fill in nicely with four catches for 40 yards and a touchdown.
With Thielen likely out on a short week, expect Johnson to get more work as a second option in this pass game that has erupted.

QB Derek Carr: 17.2% rostered (ESPN)
Carr is quietly having a solid season as he becomes even more comfortable in Jon Gruden’s offense. Carr has 1,410 yards on the year along with eight touchdowns. If he can limit the turnovers, Carr has the potential to put in solid numbers this season.
Carr is a great value option against the Texans in Week 8 as they deal with many injuries especially in the secondary. If Tyrell Williams is able to return, Carr’s value increases by a sizable amount.

WR Alex Erickson: 0.4% rostered (ESPN)
With the Bengals struggles offensively this season, they have been thin at wide receiver. Last week against the Jaguars, long time punt returner, Erickson, had a career day with eight receptions for 137 yards.
In an offense that can not seem to find any rhythm without their star wideout, A.J. Green, Erickson may find an increased role after a monster performance on Sunday. He is a good flex pickup if you are desperate this week.

RB Ty Johnson: 1.6% rostered (ESPN)
With Kerryon Johnson exiting the game in the first quarter Sunday with a knee injury, Ty Johnson filled into the role and had 10 carries for 29 yards but added four catches for 28 yards.
Johnson will split time with J.D. McKissic, but he is a very good pass-catcher out of the backfield and was used heavily on third down. With Kerryon expected to miss this week against the Giants, look for Ty to have an increased role.

WR Zach Pascal: 0.2% rostered (ESPN)
Jacoby Brissett loves to spread the ball to a number of receivers as the Colts offense has been moving the ball with ease in recent weeks. Pascal, once only thought of as a fourth or fifth option, has transitioned into a WR2 role behind T.Y. Hilton.
Sunday against the Texans, Pascal had a career day with six catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns. As he and Brissett look to build trust, Pascal should continue to improve and increase his production even more as he continues his breakout year.

TE Dallas Goedert: 21.4% rostered (ESPN)
In a season of underperforming tight ends, Goedert has been Philly’s reliable pass-catcher in key situations. Sunday night against the Cowboys, Goedert totaled four catches for 69 yards and a touchdown and led the Eagles in receiving yards.
Zach Ertz is an incredible talent at tight end, but with defenses game planning to limit his production, it has limited him this season. Look for Goedert to have even more success in the two-tight end system that Philly loves to run, especially in the red zone.

WR Corey Davis: 44% rostered (ESPN)
With the Titans making the decision to bench Marcus Mariota and start Ryan Tannehill, the Titans offense found new life in a 23-20 win over the LA Chargers. With the quarterback change, the Titans receivers, that many people dropped earlier in the season, found new life as well.
Davis had six catches for 80 yards and a touchdown in the win and is emerging as Tennessee’s go-to receiver once again. Tannehill may not be the answer for this team, but with a favorable matchup against Tampa Bay this week, Davis should continue to bounce back.
