Protecting your comic books from the elements is an expensive numbers game. You must consider how much free time and manual labor you want to spend sleeving and boarding comics. Resealable Flaps Are Convenient, But Still Require Maintenance

Before you invest in sleeves with resealable flaps, make sure you are ready for the time, labor, and cost investments. Re-sealable flaps are convenient, but you must insert backing boards and comics carefully and seal them properly.

You still have to organize your collection. Depending on the manufacturer, the maintenance costs of protection could be high, depending on the size of your collection. Resealable flaps will make your maintenance and organizational duties relatively easier, but won’t negate them entirely either.
