BHOPAL: A total of 13 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state on Wednesday as not more than 8,394 samples were tested on the day.
Positivity rate — the number of people testing positive out of every 100 samples tested — rose marginally to 0.1% in the state. Against the 13 new Covid-19 cases, 16 people recovered from the disease across the state, taking the count of recoveries so far in the state to 10,30,364.
Wednesday was also the 22nd consecutive day when less than 50 new Covid-19 patients were reported in the state. Prior to this, it was on March 14 when more than 50 new Covid-19 cases were reported as 51 had tested positive. Since then, less than 50 cases are being reported in the state. As on April 6, there were a total of 79 active Covid-19 cases in state.
New infections were reported only from 10 of the 52 districts of the state. Two cases each were reported from Hoshangabad, Indore and Narsinghpur districts while Bhopal, Chhattarpur, Harda, Katni, Rewa, Shivpuri and Singrauli districts reported one case each. No death was attributed to Covid in the state on April 6.
