More than £8,000 has been raised for the family of a French film producer found buried in her own garden as the hunt for her killer continued today.

Police opened a murder investigation after the body of Laureline Garcia-Bertaux, 34, was discovered behind her £500,000 Victorian terraced home in Kew.

A post-mortem examination revealed she had been strangled.

Nearly £9,000 has been raised for Ms Garcia-Bertaux’s family in three days after friends set up a crowdfunding page.

Her cousin, Laura Henry, wrote on the page: “[I have] No words, my big cousin, it’s just unreal… I’m thinking of you.”

Ms Garcia-Betaux, was reported missing last Tuesday after failing to arrive at work the day before.

Police urged anyone who saw or communicated with Ms Garcia-Betaux between March 2 and last Wednesday, when her body was found, to get in touch.
