77-year-old man robbed near cash point in Newport

A 77-year-old man was robbed at a cash point in Newport last night.

The man withdrew cash from the NatWest ATM, Westgate Square, at around 7pm on Sunday, December 8.

Just after he was grabbed by a man who took his money and ran off towards Cambrian Road.

According to Gwent Police , the offender was with another man.

Both were last seen walking over Town Bridge towards the Cenotaph.

Detectives have described the suspect of being of "mixed heritage" with facial hair.

He was wearing a white hooded top with a red stripe, green or khaki trousers, a blue baseball cap and a dark jacket and trainers.

The other man was wearing a dark jacket with the hood up, blue jeans and white trainers.

Gwent Police is appealing for information to help find the men.
