769 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in Tokyo

The daily number of new cases of the coronavirus confirmed in Tokyo was below 1,000 for the second day in a row, with 769 recorded on Saturday, the metropolitan government announced.

People 65 years old and older accounted for 168 of the new cases. The number of severely ill patients was 141, six less than the previous day.
