The 75th Cannes Film festival is all geared up for the rendezvous on the Red Carpet, fashion quizzes and interviews with many celebrities coming to endorse their movies and brands. What's so special about this year's Cannes Film Festival? Well, the fact that India is the official “Country Of Honour” this year, fuels the fire of pride and prestige. I&B Minister Anurag Thakur is all set to reciprocate by his participation in the Opening Night festivities of Marche Du Film at the French Riviera. A special screening will be showing the old Indian Classic movie “Pratidwandi” directed by Satyajit Ray as part of the Festival’s Cannes Classics selection. India will be showcasing six other movies including R Madhavan’s film “Rocketry”: The Nambi Effect” which will be having its premiere on the 19th.

Indian fashionistas are fueling the fire of fashion this year with the exotic mix of Indian and international designers. We can't wait to see what's in store at the Cannes, all that Indian fusion of fashion and beautiful jewellery getting showcased by our very own desi girls. A few days ago Deepika was announced as the new House ambassador for Louis Vuitton, she started her day at the Cannes wearing LV as her first look, followed by Sabyasachi's Tropic of Calcutta collection- the global resort series, where Indian heritage gets a contemporary update in the beige floral top with a hair scarf and heavy jewels. Her 3rd look was the Bengal Tiger couture sari conceptualised by Sabyasachi as part of the iconic Aakash Tara collection. While other ladies are still getting themselves glammed up. Tamannaah dropped her first look for the welcome ceremony in a beautiful Gauri and Nainika gown which she teamed up with Jaipur Gems earrings and old charm retro Hollywood hairstyle. Young blogger Masoom Minawala Mehta got herself ready in all neon pink by Valentino. We saw dapper R. Madhavan in a black tuxedo by Manish Malhotra.

The red carpet kicked off with Eva Longoria Baston in stunning Alberta Ferretti’s long, black chiffon slip dress with delicate ruffles and embroidered floral appliquès while Julianne Moore wearing beautiful emeralds and a diamond-studded necklace by Bulgari, this lavish necklace is dubbed the “tribute to Paris” and is meant as a homage of the city’s arts and culture. She opted for a plunging black drop waist dress by Bottega Veneta for the opening ceremony. Chopard Co-president Caroline Scheufele flaunted 60.03- carat heart shaped sapphire and pear-shaped diamond necklace for the opening ceremony. No time to die Agent Naomi as in Lashana Lynch gets to shine in a Chopard Emerald and dimond set to release her rendezvous with the red carpet. Katherine Langford got her silver shine out in Prada to warm up the red carpet.

The festival is scheduled to take place from 17th to 28th May 2022 and this year we see that India is about to become the biggest and largest media entertainment platform in the world. Where brands are leaning more towards the Indian market. Leaders from fashion, film and entertainment are all set to slay at the 75th Cannes Film Festival feeling this year is a victory year. Films are amusing Because they create a conception for the storyline of ideas, fantasies and certainties. Where fashion is something better described as one's attitude meets the required styling of a particular brand, it's a reflection of a personality wearing a creative product. The Cannes Film Festival receives all the artists and extends an arena to merge all the creative aptitude. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “ delighted about India’s participation as a “Country of Honour” as India celebrates its 75th year of Independence, 75th anniversary of Cannes Film Festival and 75 yrs of Indo-French diplomatic ties enhance pride associated with the momentous milestone”.
