In a series of tweets, the prime minister said, “Today, as we mark 75 years of the historic sitting of our Constituent Assembly, I would urge my young friends to know more about this august gathering’s proceedings and about the eminent stalwarts who were a part of it. The vice-president appealed to all to reaffirm faith in the principles of the Constitution. “On this historic day, let us all reaffirm our faith in the principles enshrined in the Constitution and strive to build an India envisioned by our founding fathers. That will be the most sincere tribute to them,” he said.
