BHOPAL/JABALPUR: A 75-year-old man in Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman 12 years younger to him.
Inspector Rakesh Tiwari told TOI that the 62-year-old woman had lodged a complaint against the old man alleging that he had raped her several times in the last few months.
The complainant is a native of Maharashtra who had been living as a tenant at his residence.
She was earning her livelihood working as domestic help.
The woman alleged that she was raped inside the same house.
The accused had threatened her of dire consequences.
Police said they have sent the woman for medical examination and initiated the investigation.
Investigations so far revealed that the accused runs a grocery shop and had a dispute with his tenant.
He had lodged a complaint of cheque dishonour against the woman.
