73-year-old woman hospitalised after car crashes into house in Cranhill

A 73-year-old was rushed to hospital after a car crashed into a house in Cranhill.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Edinburgh Road in the east end of Glasgow at around 8.40pm last night.

Police have launched an investigation after the car crashed into a fence then the wall of the house.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed to Glasgow Live: "Around 8:40pm on Thursday 17 September 2020, police received a single vehicle road crash.

"The car appeared to lose control and crash into a fence before colliding with the wall of a house in Edinburgh Road, Cranhill.

"Emergency service attended and a 73 year old woman was taken to the Glasgow Royal. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash. "
