73 days until UGA football…remembering former OL Greg Pyke (No. 73)

With 73 long days remaining until the return of Georgia football, let’s take a look back at a former Bulldog who donned the No. 73 for the red and black.

Offensive lineman Greg Pyke wore No. 73 during his five years with the Dawgs. The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Baltimore native was a three-star prospect coming out of high school. Pyke earned a scholarship offer from Mark Richt and Georgia in the summer of 2011. On August 5, 2011, Pyke committed to UGA over Virginia Tech, Maryland, and Penn State while on a return visit.

He was a three-year starter at Georgia and played in 26-straight games – starting 25 of them – at right guard from 2014-2015. Pyke moved to right tackle as a senior in 2016 and started 13 games there.

In April of 2017, Pyke signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent, but was released prior to the start of the season.
