71 new Covid infections in Madhya Pradesh, 25 from Bhopal alone; active cases rise to 435

BHOPAL: For the third time in June so far, more than 70 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh as 71 people tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. It was on June 17 last when 71 had tested positive and on June 11 when 79 had tested positive this month.

The number of active patients increased from 420 on June 19 to 435 on June 20. From 136 active cases on March 31, there are now 435 active cases.

New cases were reported from 15 of the 52 districts of the state. As many as 25 new cases were reported from Bhopal alone, while Indore reported 18 new cases, Jabalpur seven, Raisen five and two new cases were reported each from Gwalior, Hoshangabad, Katni, Morena and Narsinghpur districts. Positivity rate stood at 0.9% while only 56 people recovered in the day.
