71% kids in 12-14 age group, 83% of 15-17 years vaxxed in Prayagraj

PRAYAGRAJ: With health departments intensifying door-to-door vaccination campaign to cover eligible children, around 71 percent children in the age group of 12-14 years and 83 percent children in the age group of 15-17years are now fully vaccinated in Sangam city.

Records of the health department on Sunday claimed that around 86.91 % of total 2,52,226 children in the age group of 12-14 years in Sangam city have taken their first dose of vaccine, while 70.69 children (1,78,309) are now fully vaccinated.

Data further claimed that till June 26 ,the number of children who were administered first and second dose stood 2,19,204 and 1,78,309, respectively, in the age group of 12-14 years. However, claimed health teams are vaccinating the children with an objective to cover each and every eligible child under the special door-to-door vax drive in rural, semi urban and urban areas. Similarly, as many as 4,03,844 (96.70%) and 3,46,629 (83 %) children in the age group of 15-17 years have taken their first and second dose, respectively in Sangam city. The health department aims to complete maximum vaccination of children in the age group of 15-17 years
