A 70-YEAR-OLD man has been killed in a three-way crash on a Scottish A-road.

Police were called out to the A68 at Earlston in the Scottish Borders after the fatal collision at around 12.20pm on Wednesday, March 19.

Officers said that the incident had involved a red and cream Moto Guzzi motorbike, a silver Ford Eco-sport, and a white DAF lorry.

After emergency services attended, the rider of the motorbike, a 70-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was injured, police said.

The road was closed and re-opened around five hours later, at 5.30pm.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking anyone who has not already spoken to officers and who can assist to get in touch.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1443 of Wednesday, 19 March, 2025.
