70’s inspired show raises hundreds for Wishaw primary

A group of Wishaw singers raised cash for a local primary school thanks to a concert in Pather Community Centre.

Wishaw’s Wednesday Girls, with the help of singing tutor Nikki Thomson, entertained the community with their 70’s inspired show and raised £400 for Orchard Primary School’s Speech and Language Unit.

The aim is to enhance the artistic pursuits of children and parents in the hope it would bring them as much pleasure in spending the money as the girls had in raising it.

The Wednesday Girls have been together for around 15 years entertaining the local community and raising money for local good causes.

They meet on Wednesday evenings from 7pm till 9pm in Pather Community Centre and are always on the lookout for new members.
