A seven-year-old boy, Rishi Uswa, is suspected to have drowned after falling into the swollen creek while cycling on the terrace of his Thane home on Nagsen Nagar creek road near the police commissioner's headquarters on Wednesday. "He may have lost balance and fallen into the creek," said Avinash Sawant, TMC regional disaster management cell.
In Bhiwandi, brothers Raees (20) and Sufiyan Mansoori (16), who were on a family picnic, drowned in Varna river at Chimbipada village when they entered the water for a swim.
