A man was shot Thursday while he was in a vehicle with a 7-year-old boy in Calumet Heights on the South Side.
They were inside of a vehicle about 2:55 p.m. in the 1700 block of East 95th Street when another vehicle approached and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.
The man was shot in the chin area and was in good condition at Trinity Hospital, police said.
Police initially reported that the boy had suffered a graze wound to the ear, but later said the boy was not shot in the incident.
Area Two detectives are investigating.
