BENGALURU: A seven-year-old boy who went to play with other children drowned in an open well at Kotagera village in Gurumatkal taluk of Yadgir.
Manjunath Mallappa Uppar was last seen on the outskirts of the village on Friday afternoon, playing games under a tree. He didn't return home in the evening. The boy's friends told the parents that he had gone with some other children to play near the well.
After six hours of searching, his body was fished out of the well on Saturday by police personnel and firefighters. tnn
