The Arizona Cardinals know exactly where all their draft picks will be in the 2019 NFL draft, now that compensatory picks were awarded. Now it is time to run another mock draft simulation to see how things could turn out.
In this week’s simulation of FanSpeak’s On The Clock, the Cardinals made a trade down and another trade up. They started with 11 picks. They finished the draft having made nine selections.
Here is how this mock draft played out.
In terms of trades, they traded down in the fourth round, picking up an extra fourth-round pick. Then they traded up in the same round, giving up three of their Day 3 picks.
And the results:
Round 1, pick 1: Kentucky OLB Josh Allen

Most think Nick Bosa will go first to the Cardinals, but Allen could be the guy. There is the belief he will show off freakish athleticism in his testing numbers at the combine. For now, he feels like a Steve Keim pick. If his testing is high, which is likely will be, he fits the profile of player Keim likes to take.
Round 2, pick 1: ASU WR N’Keal Harry

This might be the most popular pick the Cardinals could make since Jake Plummer in 1997. Harry is the top WR prospect for some. His combine results will be telling, but he has the size, body type and production.
Round 3, pick 1: Standford OG Nate Herbig

Finally, the offensive line is addressed. He struggled with injuries in 2018 bit was very good in 2017. He is known as Big Island. He entered the draft as an underclassman. He is 6-4, 334 pounds.
Round 4, pick 6: Georgia TE Isaac Nauta

After trading down and picking up the 30th pick in the round, the Cardinals get a tight end. Nauta is physical and should be a very good blocker in the NFL. He also has some receiving skills. He brings the best of both worlds to the position.
Round 4, pick 25: Western Illinois DL Khalen Saunders

The Cardinals moved up to No. 25 in the round to nab Saunders. They gave up a sixth-rounder and two seventh-rounders to do it. Saunders is a small-school player many love. He has a lot of potential, much like Rodney Gunter did. He stood out at the Senior Bowl.
Round 5, pick 1: WVU WR David Sills

He is 6-3 and can go up and get the football. Kliff Kingsbury will want that facet in his offense.
Rounds 6-7
Round 6, pick 6: Washington OT Kaleb McGary
Round 6, pick 34: James Madison CB Jimmie Moreland
Round 7, pick 34: Missouri DL Terry Beckner
