7 player connections between Cardinals, Seahawks

The Arizona Cardinals take on the Seattle Seahawks this weekend for the second time this season. They are familiar opponents, as they are division foes, but they also have familiar faces on their rosters.

Between the two teams, seven players on their roster and injured reserve spent time with the other. The Cardinals have five former Seahawks and the Seahawks have two former Cardinals.

The last time the two teams met, they had eight player connections.

Marsh was with the Seahawks twice. He was drafted by them in 2014 and played three seasons. He had three sacks in 2016. After two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, he re-signed with the Seahawks in the offseason, only to be cut after they traded for Jadeveon Clowney.

McDonald is on injured reserve. He played three seasons for Seattle from 2011-2013. He had 5.5 sacks in 2013 and was part of their Super Bowl team.

OL J.R. Sweezy

Arizona Cardinals Otas

Sweezy was originally a seventh-round draft pick by the Seahawks. He played for Seattle for four seasons and then, after two years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, returned in 2018. He signed with the Cardinals in the offseason. He played in 74 games for Seattle, starting 64 of them.
