A note to current NFL players thinking about appearing on the ManningCast in the future: The ManningCast Curse is REAL.

No, seriously.

Heading into Week 17, we thought Aaron Rodgers was tempting fate by appearing on the Peyton and Eli Manning alternative Monday Night Football broadcast with the Detroit Lions looming in Week 18. What if the QB of the No. 1 seed in the NFC didn’t play at all and then the curse was still on him heading into the playoffs??

Luckily — unluckily?? — for him, he did play against the Lions … and lost. So maybe the stink is off of him?

That meant every active player who appeared this season lost the next week. Let’s look back:
