
Seven people were hurt, including a child who was seriously injured, Monday in a two-vehicle crash in South Shore.
The crash happened about 12:45 p.m. at 67th Street and South South Shore Drive, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt.
Paramedics took a 14-year-old girl in serious-to-critical condition to Comer Children’s Hospital, Merritt and Chicago police said. She had a laceration to her forehead.
Another child was taken in fair-to-serious condition to Trinity Hospital.
Among the injured adults: one was taken in serious-to-critical condition to the University of Chicago, while three others were taken to the same hospital in fair-to-serious condition.
Another adult was taken to Trinity Hospital in fair-to-serious condition, Merritt said.
Chicago police said the crash involved two vehicles.
