After a tough loss last week to the Carolina Panthers, in which the
Houston Texans only scored ten points they came back with a vengeance scoring 53 points for 53-32 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
With the team scoring more points against the Falcons than they scored in their last three games combined they were able to set multiple records offensively.
With everything that took place, there were so many stats to keep track of that’s why we did the homework for you here are seven interesting stats that happened on Sunday.
1. te darren fells’ big day

The 6-7, 270-pound tight end proved why he was worth the Texans’ money in free agency. The big target caught two touchdown passes of eight and 12 yards. It was the first time since Oct. 8, 2017, when the former UC Irvine Anteater was with the Detroit Lions that he hauled in two touchdowns, tying the single-game best of his career.
2. running up the scoreboard

The 53 points the Texans scored were the second-highest in franchise history. The most were actually in 2017 when the Texans bested the Tennessee Titans 57-14 in Week 4. By the way, isn’t it interesting that these top-2 games have happened with quarterback Deshaun Watson?
3. watt’s with the roughing the passer calls?

Texans defensive end. J.J. Watt incurred two roughing the passer calls along with his 1.0 sack in the win.
It was the first time since Sept. 28, 2014, Watt picked up two roughing the passer calls. It was the third game of his career with multi-roughing calls. The first was in his rookie season on Dec. 22, 2011, in a 19-16 loss at the Indianapolis Colts.
4. perfection

Quarterback Deshaun Watson joined rare company on Sunday. He became just the third quarterback since 1950 to throw for over 400 yards, five touchdowns, and post a 158.3 passer rating. The only other quarterbacks to do it were Nick Foles on Nov. 3, 2013, at the Oakland Raiders when he was with the Philadelphia Eagles, and the other was Jared Goff against the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 27, 2018.
5. divide by zero

Deshaun Watson was sacked — actually, not at all. It was the second time in his 28 career games that he did not take a sack. The last time it happened was coincidentally in the Texans’ most recent October game in Week 8 of 2018 in a 42-23 win over the Miami Dolphins on a Thursday night.
6. gross yardage

The Texans produced 592 yards of total offense. Because there were no sacks, none of the yards lost from sacks had to be subtracted from the gross yardage. Nonetheless, the 592 yards of total offense are the second-highest total in team history. Only the 653 from a Nov. 18, 2012 contest with the Jacksonville Jaguars, a 43-37 overtime time, is higher.
7. where there’s a will, there’s a way

Will Fuller caught 14 passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns on 17 targets. All four of those categories were career highs for the former 2016 first-round pick from Notre Dame. On his career, Fuller has 14 touchdowns with quarterback Deshaun Watson throwing him the ball compared to two with anyone else.
