CHANDIGARH/SHIMLA: The three states of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh reported a total of 1,844 positive cases of Covid-19 and seven fatalities on Monday.
Two deaths each were reported in Haryana and Punjab, and three in Haryana.
Individually, Haryana reported 821 new cases and 906 recoveries. The state’s Covid tally is 10,36,795 cases, 10,21,547 recoveries, 10,650 deaths and 4,574 active cases. Among the active cases, 167 patients have been hospitalised and the rest are in home isolation.
Himachal Pradesh reported 754 new cases and 902 recoveries. The state’s Covid tally is 3,05,383 positive cases, 4,919 active cases, 2,96,287 recoveries, and 4,157 deaths.
Punjab reported 269 new cases. The state’s Covid tally is 7,77,362 positive cases, 7,54,065 recoveries, 20,396 deaths, and 2,901 active cases. In Himachal, the deceased patients included a 64-year-old man from Kangra, a 75-year-old woman from Una and a 40-year-old man from Sirmaur. In Haryana, a death each was reported from Hisar and Panipat. tnn
