7 Celtic stick or twist calls on loanees Ange Postecoglou has this summer

All or some of their seasons have been spent away from Glasgow, but clarity will be sought on their Celtic futures this summer.

Ange Postecoglou 's side have built up their squad depth over the season and there simply hasn't been enough game time to hand around his squad.

A number of senior and youth players are currently out on loan at various clubs across the world, from Belgium to Motherwell.

That's not including Boli Bolingoli, who's future is up in the air after his loan at FC UFA in Russia was ended before it started.

Some are tied to the club beyond this summer while some will be wondering what a life post-Parkhead on a permanent basis will look like.

Record Sport Online takes a look at seven players who will be heading back to the Hoops this summer.

Adam Montgomery (Aberdeen)

The 19-year-old left-back made a handful of senior appearances at Parkhead before heading out on loan to Aberdeen in the final hours of the January transfer window. He's contracted until 2025 and has made five appearances since moving north. More senior football will be on his mind next term, even if it's not at Parkhead.

Prediction: Loaned out.

Kerr McInroy (Ayr United)

Another academy-graduate, the midfielder has carried on his good form at League One title chasers Airdrie in the first half of this season into Championship action at Ayr United. He's got five goals and five assists overall across both this term and has already confirmed his future likely lies away from his parent club, so will be a free agent come June.

Prediction: Released.

Osaze Urhoghide (KV Oostende)

Eyebrows were raised over whether the summer import from Sheffield Wednesday could break into senior plans in Glasgow. Six months after his arrival on a deal until 2025, he's already found himself out on loan at Oostende in Belgium, who handed Jack Hendry his Scotland platform. The defender has said he's 'very happy' to stay at the Belgian side with his current club have an option to buy in his deal.

Prediction: Remain with Oostende.

Liam Shaw (Motherwell)

It's hard to to assess the second of Postecoglou's young arrivals from Hillsborough. The midfielder has impressed in all of his five appearances at Motherwell since arriving on loan, and his lack of inclusion in a struggling team recently has been puzzling. Tied down at Parkhead until 2025 and another loan could do him some good. He's got potential.

Prediction: Loaned out.

Ross Doohan (Tranmere Rovers)

The goalkeeper is forming part of Tranmere Rovers' promotion push in League Two but soon his attention will turn to his next contract. A former Scotland youth international, he's out of contract in the summer and now he's 23, he'll have to weigh up what's best for him after six separate loan spells.

Prediction: Released.

Luca Connell (Queen's Park)

(SNS Group)

The Irish midfielder arrived on a fairly sizeable hype train from Bolton Wanderers, but it hasn't worked out for the now 20-year-old. He's impressed in two loan spells at Queen's Park over this season and last, but will need to step up from League One level if he's to prove himself as a future Celtic player, tied down until the end of next season.

Prediction: Loaned out.

Scott Robertson (Crewe Alexandria)

His season has been ended by injury but the energetic midfielder has picked up plenty of valuable experience at Crewe Alexandria. It's been a season of harsh learning curves as they look certain for relegation from League One, but still only 20, the Celtic loanee has racked up 57 EFL appearances over spells at Doncaster, Gillingham and now Crewe. Under contract until 2023. When he is back to full fitness, it could be the right time for Ange Postecoglou to roll the dice with the player in the final year of his deal.

Prediction: A shot at the first team
