These are some of our favourite spots for getting out and making the most of the day:

Located in the Queen’s Quarter area of South Belfast, the Botanic Gardens is one of Belfast’s most iconic spots.

This 28-acre park has plenty of lovely flowers and plants to spot and a beautiful Palm House and Tropical Ravine to brighten up your walk.

Musgrave Park

Why not take a short stroll through this urban park and take in all the beautiful floral displays while trying out its Highway to Health walk.

It also contains a therapy garden that combines a number of therapeutic features and is accessible to all.

Ormeau Park

Ormeau Park is the oldest public park in Belfast and is considered to be one of the largest and busiest parks in the city.

It contains a great mix of horticulture, woodland, wildlife and sporting facilities and is near a range of coffee shops and cafes to fuel you for your walk.

Victoria Park

This East Belfast park is an amazing historic spot for stretching the legs and taking in some lovely sights.

The lake is home to a range of water birds such as swans and herons and with two walking trails around it, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to where to walk.

Alexandra Park

If you are looking for a place to head in North Belfast, Alexandra Park is a great location to try.

Full of Victorian character, the park's formal layout and avenues of trees make it perfect for a relaxed walk to get you out of the house.

Woodvale Park

With around three miles of paths inside the 25-acre park, Woodvale is another one of Belfast’s classic Victorian parks - and the place to go to see The Peace Tree won Northern Ireland Tree of the Year in 2015.

Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park

Home to the City of Belfast International Rose Garden, Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park covers more than 128 acres and is filled with rolling meadows, woodlands and gardens.

Take yourself off on the Garden Trail which leads you through a Japanese-style garden with water features for a more peaceful Sunday activity.
