7.35 lakh inoculated in a single day in Madhya Pradesh

BHOPAL: On Saturday, 7.35 lakh Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in Madhya Pradesh, according to health bulletin released by the directorate of health services.

Taking these into account, in all 4.53 crore vaccine doses against Covid-19 have been administered in the state till date. As per the CoWIN portal of the union government, on Saturday in the entire country, second highest number of vaccine doses were administered in Madhya Pradesh during the mass vaccination drive.

Vaccination of pregnant women had also started in the state from July 23, but it is now being carried out on Tuesdays and Fridays when only universal vaccination is carried out, said sources.

The districts where maximum doses were administered on Saturday include Indore where 63907 doses were administered, followed by Balaghat where 29770 doses were administered and Sagar where 28822 doses were administered. In Bhopal district, 27431 doses were administered.

The state government has set a target of administering at least one dose to all the 5.5 crore eligible beneficiaries of the state by the end of September this year.
