No. 6 Wisconsin upset by Illinois 24-23

Well, this doesn’t make Michigan State’s loss to Wisconsin sit any better but they were just upset by Illinois 24-23 after fumble allowed Illinois to drive down the field and kick a field goal to win the game.

Wisconsin was 6-0 and ranked No. 6 in the country heading into this game and Illinois was a measly 2-4 so this is, along with the Georgia game against South Carolina, one of the biggest upsets of the college football season.

Illinois, coached by the bearded Lovie Smith, started to flash some competence last week in their loss against Michigan but really put things together today.

Michigan State will play Illinois on November 9th so if they win that game by some sort of weird transitive property gymnastics you could argue that MSU is better.
