6 Lions from 2018 who are firmly on the roster bubble for 2019

Roster turnover is inevitable in the NFL. Every new season brings new players. The cold reality of the new opportunities for those drafted and signed in free agency is that they push someone else off the 53-man roster.

For the 2019 Detroit Lions, there will be some tough choices. GM Bob Quinn, head coach Matt Patricia and the team will likely say goodbye to some familiar faces, even guys who started for last year’s team.

Name value won’t save them. Unlike prior incarnations of the Lions, prior draft status or familiarity with the fans and coaches will not keep a player on the roster. If any of these six are going to play in Detroit in 2019, it will be because they proved they earned their roster spot again.
